right basically what adam was meant to say is its a 4 x 1 plank challenge use the space however you like any gauge etc use whatever you want we are doing this to get the skills up & running for the main layouts im going to bash that above but with a difference i,ll use the plan but change it around to suit my taste after a recent challenge thread i did no takers i thought maybe this is a better idea see what spare bits of track you have lying around see what you can come up with i have a really good idea for the layout im really excited about it all too so come on have a go.

I have guesstimated my layout will come in around the £70 mark for everything including electronics, buildings, scenery & track. Im going to use a bachmann controller & a scalextric powerpack for lights & point motors its going to be steam im having a urge to model steam i want a 9f , 8f , black 5 & a ivatt plus my 24 & green 25 want a home.

my revised version of the original plan its name is Accrington Road a fictional area based on Rosegrove depot Burnley circa 1967.
Stock x LMS kettles 8f,s black 5,s ivatts & 9f,s plus green diesel.

its going to be DC as its only small.

After a quick look on the B&Q website the MDF is being bought tomorrow & the 2x 1 for the underframe so i,ll have something to show next week towards the end of next week i should have a layout on the go i have a extra £20 to spend on this layout so it should look really good next week i,ll post pics up on here tomorrow when i am in the build.

What a ripper emailed Carl Arendt to see if the layout could be featured on the website & he has said he shouldnt see why not its fitting criteria for the website so i am fair chuffed with that MDF being bought today.

these are my main features on the layout so far the loco is in the post & the kit & track are being bought next week the baseboard is being built over the weekend.

All the parts for the baseboard are being bought in the morning i,ll have some photos for the baseboard as 7 when i build it all being well the the track will be laid by wednesday & the motors will be fit too.
im buying the scenery too whilst im at the model shop then i can make a start when i need too.
do we have anymore takes as of yet for this plan

Today is the joinery day going to B&Q soon for the MDF i have shopping list written down i am ready for the long walk their & back but it wil be worth the journey the job is on.
