My new trainset is underplanning consent from the wife, so i have built a site to document the works.

Does anyone know how big the Hornby track packs are when they are all fitted together?

I mean Pack A/B/C/D & E ?

Updated with my new additions due September and December.

Also does anyone know if the Kernow Model Centre Class 47 (47815) Abertawe Landore is a tarted up 47/0. or a new shell and underframe to protry the prototype?

If no one comes back before Thursday with an answer I will ask them at the shop when I go to pick up a couple of items.

Very snazzy web site you've got there. Might be better though if the news section was the other way around i.e. new things at the top, getting older as they go down. Well it confuseled be anyway.

A question,

How do you wire the DCC Select to your track?

As i only have a circle as present i will use the mainline as the programing track and running line, is this ok?

Providing there is no other locos on the track at the time of programing.

Also what wire do you use?

cheers

Popped into the shop this afternoon

It will have the correct prototype body hence the delay whilst they take orders.

Definitely not a tarted up 47/0

Hope that helps

I like the Funding page on your site. I wouldn't like to start pricing up what mine has cost up to date, plus the planning department (the wife) isn't aware of the total price so far, otherwise the layout would have a £0 budgit for next year.

I'm keeping track of mine on an Excel spreadsheet, budgeted costs at the moment stand at about 2-grand for just the track, rolling stock, and baseboards. That's before any scenic stuff!!

Does anyone know how to wire up a Hornby Select to a circle of track?

What kind of wire do you use and do you need a special clip that goes on the track or can you just tie/solder it to the track?

cheers.

Just solder the wires to the track.
