Stefan's Loft Layout - OO Gauge - Work In Progress

Postby Stefan Tapp » Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:11 pm

Hi,

Thought I'd post a few pics and some info on my work in progress loft layout.

The layout size is approx 12ft X 13ft and will be modelled on the late 70's/very early 80's BR Blue Western Region.

The layout is DCC controlled and I will be looking to add Loksound decoders to most loco's pretty soon.

The basic layout is run around the loft, with the station and town at opposite ends. One side is currently basically landscaped with a tunnel and fields etc. The station area is currently under construction as is the the side which will contain the road to the town. This particular section will be extended outwards with 3 new 2ft wide boards which will become the motive power depot, maintenance and re-fuelling areas, this particular area will be my 'super detailed' area!

It's a slow progress due to other family and life commitments, but I'll get there eventually!!

Photos taken with a Samsung Pro 815, mostly just on auto, but some taken with the cameras excellent macro facilty.

Stefan

Welcome Stefan
That's a good collection of locos plus bags of potential with the space you have.

Thanks for the comments, here is an extremely crude and not to scale track plan, the yellow area shows the proposed new boards and the red the new track addition.

Going to need lot's of track space for my collection of Class 50's!!
