mmurnin900's exhibition diorama

Postby mmurnin900 » Mon Mar 26, 2007 6:05 pm

Well it's now started, and i have 1 month to make the first show, although 2 for the next is a more realistic target with external exams comming up.
Here's a bill board to go up
Image
Most of the left side will not be visable from half way up as a man on a ladder will be putting it up.
Heres some of the track plan and some buildings, there will be water arond the line that stays closest to the outside. All track will be raised very high as is in NI

I saved the add on NIR's web site, put it on to paint, extracted the purple and made the box bigger with the same backgrond and then used the text tool. fhew. Thanks

More progress today, did work on trees and some bushes at the side of the church. Hot glued the flexi track. Need some ballast now and were motoring, still unsure about what to do with the rest. Bill board is now up and slightly altered as I did it over luch in school and constantly minimised it because my mates don't like the trains :(

News today, I am being forwarded my aplication form for the exhibition. I got some hill scenery work done, a hill with the road to the church entrance dug out on one side and the rails on the pther is done, and I'll probably have sheep on it.
Any one have ony good tips on buying an airbrush that isn't really high quality and expensive but good enough as a starter and as something i can keep and not use to much. I want to do a small rake in my own livery and possibly a small freight division both will have a loco with a MR livery.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
I have already read the forums regarding the matter.

Well another update after a visit to the shop, bought an air brush and was given a brilliant paint for weathering, here are the results, and the track is now ballasted!

Danny.
