My personal layout under endless (re)construction
Re: My personal layout under endless (re)construction
I couldn't find the pieces of plastic mirror for the false street trick and suddenly -she always do so- Miss Impatience arrived with her delicate bulldozer style and changed my plans...

The gap between the arch and the building at the right is because the building at the left, with the arc, is not glued in place yet. But that wil;l be ok once glued.

It is funny you give the first reaction: I have been thinking about your work since yesterday, while working on the village, and found my approach is in a certain way very similar to yours.

Daniel. I do read most contributors posts. I find replying to them rather difficult. (I have tried three times to write this because of important interruptions.) Most times it happens I then just do not reply.

That must be a trick question! What corner was there to notice? I only saw the wonderful buildings (some with roof tiles that reminded me of the flaked almonds on my cereal!)Daniel wrote:

Then I must have done at least something right.
Did you say 'flaked almonds'...? (Hmm... Mr Wallet is going to hate this guy for a while and I will be thinking how to explain why I bought thirty cereal boxes)

Re: My personal layout under endless (re)construction
After a for me not unimpportant row of fiascos, her what could be a way for modelling some decent Mediterranean Pines.
The trunck and thick branches are all a bundle of twisted wire. The twigs forming the treetop are from a plant I bought at the befinning of thge pandemic and forgot until this morning. The rest was first PVA glue and 4 & 7mm static grass and the spray glue & same static grass both layers done with the flockingbox.
The result is much better than my previous couple of attempts and I will experiment a bit mode because the twisted wire , also if not at all a favorite of mine, seems to be the very best way for this type of tree. But that requieres a bit more experimentation.
So far I think it may be good to try using the greenkeeper instead of the flocking box at lkeast for the first layer.

Thank you Mountain for warning Bufferstop.
Thank you Bufferstop for helping me get back in.
I need a day or two now to refresh where did I leave this thread and find out how to continue but, at least, I am in again.
It all started as a kind of short personal vacation at home, then the death of my computer's hard disc took over, then the memory function of my lone brain cell went on strike and, finally, Mountain and Bufferstop guided me back here.
I will try to get ahead with this thread in a day or two.
