A few more from this morning at Shrewford..

A 3 Car DMU approaches Platform 6 with a terminating local service from Wolverhampton, there is a fair few passengers on this DMU for the Aberystwyth service. On arrival at Platform 6, passengers scurry around to platform 5 for the waiting Sprinter for Aber...

I'd always wondered if there was a layout based on Shrewsbury. Here it is! That's a fantastic job; it really captures the place and I use it regularly.

BTW if you go platform 3 as far as you can walk towards where platforms 1 & 2 were d look through the window there the station guys have a bit of a layout going on.

Hi mj3200,

I've heard there's a model railway over on Platform 3 at Salop but never seen it. Next time I pop that way I'll definitely have a look.

Glad you like Shrewford.

Well the latest progress is one of my Class 101 DMU's I have made into a Western Region set. I have 3 3-car Blue & Grey Class 101's which I run as either 2 or 3 car sets. They were all purchased back in 2011 when you could get them for around £85 each.
I've already rebranded one into a Tyseley based West Midlands PTE set, so this one is Cardiff based C814. I've also added the first class sections using fox transfers for the yellow stripe, & Railtec transfers for the window markings & other details.

Here it is on completion & also on the layout approaching Platform 5 with a service from Cardiff Central via Hereford...

Also I've gone a bit 're branding crazy here at Shrewford :P . I thought I may as well while I'd got the transfers & glues etc on the table. My Class 122 has received it's West Midlands 'WM' logo & is seeing on the holding sidings coupled to a 3 car Class 101 & is now stabled overnight. Also a Class 108 2 car set has it's Greater Manchester 'M' logo's applied as it's now a Newton Heath based unit & has arrived at Platform 7 on a terminating local service from Crewe...

Individuality! Making things 'unique'. I like it.
Well done.

Some great platform photos there; excellent detail. Those black and white photos look fantastic too. Nice layout.
