A view from the new grassland and bridge looking at the fiddle yard.

Depending how I feel (and which grandchildren are here) the fiddle yard is north and south of Glenburnie on diesel days.
North and south of Leeds Sovereign Street on steam running days.
or Lybster Station. (Glencairn Estate is about three miles away from Lybster.) When running trains to Lybster, Sovereign Street becomes the fiddle yard.

With the new scenery added near the fiddle yard, Class 45 45048 'The Royal Marines' with the Morning Down Parcels passes the Coach and Horses Hotel and level crossing.

You know when you are just running trains in any fashion then all of a sudden a 'Eureka moment' happens. Yesterday was such a day for me.

I was running Class 46 46010 and train to Glenburnie Station. I continued running the train through Sovereign Street Station and round again --

IMG_2704.JPG

Then I thought, how about running diesel trains on the 'direct line' from the fiddle yard, past Winterwood Manor (8) to Sovereign Street (D) and over the bridge (6) ?

IMG_0753.JPG

Each class of diesel locomotives I have did the journey without mishap. (Even the longest locomotive and carriage.)

What was a daft moment, I find the journey time of each train from the fiddle yard to Glenburnie Station (C) would be trebled.

Eureka!

Very much liking your new scenery by the fiddle yard glencairn, a nice spot of modelling there.
Also good to see you managed to extend rail services, I dont know how much the passangers will appreciate the longer commute however

Glad you like the new scenery, josh.

As for the extra journey by the passengers, there have been no complaints. I think it is because they haven’t paid their fare the reason they are quiet.

A little bit added here and there ---

Giles the Gardener has a new wheelbarrow and is busy in the garden at Winterwood Manor.

North Road. Jimmy Charlton, the Postman, is on his delivery (with dogs following). Andy Holmes is with his bucket of clean water and continuing his window cleaning round.

IMG_2717.JPG

Not seen when running trains, but the backs of the houses in North Road have new outside toilets.
Eddie Richards and his son, Bobby are watching the trains.

Three views of 'Clarice' the Canal Boat.

Young Tommy watches intently; his dog by his side. The horses take an interest. A badger and some hares are oblivious as to the goings on.
