Thanks, Itsonlyme. I get great satisfaction from the layout. I like to see trains running through the scenery. One day I will get it right.

Here are a couple of new photographs taken from the control area.

Thanks, manna. I like trains to run through scenery. The story goes that the line was due for closure and was allowed to be run down and overgrown. At the eleventh hour the line was reprieved. That is where we are now. —and remain.

We went to Hexham to the model railway show. I bought a few trees and have 'planted' them around the layout (to freshen things up a little). The old trees have been 'cut down' and made into bushes.

A lot of 'bedding in' to do. Charlie's house has been moved a little. A new pathway to build and trees and flowers to plant.

Now Charlie has a 'purpose in life'.

I must have a couple of 'prospective buyers' looking at what they can preserve.

A few things added to the Scrap Yard.

Agnes Marston is off to the shops and taking her dog for a walk.

Locomotive number 2859 has been preserved by the Llangollen Railway, so it must be 2870 at Charlie Marston's Yard.
IMG_2464.JPG

Is that a prospective buyer for 2870 talking to Charlie Marston?
Meanwhile the wheel on the wagon is still causing problems.

I was wondering what to put between the level crossing at A Vinnerd's garage and 'The Bridge'.

I came across the Coach and Horses Inn building whist on my travels. As I was heavily involved with the Post Office and its history for over twenty years, I thought how ideal
Here it now sits to the left of the level crossing.

As the area had to be relatively flat for access to the fiddle yard and my Grandson (number 3) to operate, the area was grassed and fenced.

and the fence painted.

Bushes and trees etc. added
