Everyone must be working late as the lights in the factories are blazing.

A load has just been delivered to Town Tailors in a E Turner wagon.

The tranquility of Sovereign Street yard is broken. A goods train has arrived.

The LNWR Signal Box at Sovereign Street. Point rodding etc. will be fitted.
The bus on the right has just returned from Dewsbury via Earlsheaton. I used to travel to Earlsheaton every weekend on such a bus.
At the level crossing is a Samuel Ledgard bus. I have travelled on many a 'Sammy' Ledgard bus. :)
The two shops at the crossing. ' Ladle's' used to be on Dib Lane in Leeds. It was our local grocers. Yager's is in Consett, County Durham. Get your pork sandwiches there. (No affiliation apart from a happy customer. :D )

Trains 'At the Junction'.

The morning Calder Railway train to Earlsheaton Junction waits at the signal until the Kirkstall & East Seacroft passenger train from Barnbow to Kirkstall clears the junction

Apart for more ground covering to freshen the appearance that trains run through scenery, little has been done modelling.
Here are a couple of pictures from the last running session.

A bird has its eyes on some water.

Sovereign Street Yard. T&J Harrison's (Small Arms Manufacturers) have been busy as more crates full of rifles etc. are waiting to be loaded on the next wagon.

Fluffy, the white cat, 'prowls' along the fence. Fluffy is too white. A touch of black paint is required here and there.

A couple of alterations to buildings at Sovereign Street.

The station building has been enlarged by using a Metcalfe building and a plastic kit.

IMG_1838.JPG

The Metcalfe Water Tower has a roof added. First, lollipop sticks were stuck on top. Then a piece of black card glued to the sticks. A ladder attached to the side.

IMG_1832.JPG

The whole lot 'dirtied up'. The bird is not impressed. A source of free water has gone.

Not much happening at Sovereign Street. Had the Grandchildren round to see their Grandma as she is not so well..

"Hello Grandma. Can we play trains Granddad? The big engines this time."

We gave 'The Berkeley' a trip around the layout.

No, Mountain, but thanks for enquiring.

It will be 'a long journey' for her. She has been a lot, lot worse a while back. This is (as we are saying) a minor blip considering.
