Steam Trains to Sovereign Street on a 1914/1919 theme

Clarence Dock is back up and running with a new parcels shed, made of wood.
End of the line.
A busy time.

Puddles and wet ground after the rain. Puddles are done by a little clear varnish and pieces of plastic over the top. The wet ground is varnish again leaving part as if the ground is drying out.
A mix of wagons at Clarence Dock.
A wagon of fish has just arrived.

Interesting use of sleepers in the dock.

Cheap and easy.

Easy to repair if the grandchildren caught them and damaged them. Trouble is, it is me that has broken them.

I am toying with the idea of stone walling.

Lovely reflections in the puddles.

Thank you, Ex-Pat.
I took the idea from P.D. Hancock's Craig & Mertonford Light Railway. He had a puddle in one of his scenes in his book.

New arrival. A four wheeled coach in Leeds, Scarcroft & Wetherby Railway livery on her first run on the layout. Behind are two North British Railway six wheelers.
New 0.4.2 locomotive soon to be in Kirkstall & East Seacroft Railway livery on a goods train to Barnbow.
A northbound freight train passing Roseville Station.

Added a loco and a coach!
I guess the local population and need for services are increasing!

The coach is an all first four wheeler. The landed gentry of Scarcroft, East Keswick and Wetherby have repeatedly asked for better carriages instead of the all third ones been used.

The locomotive was very cheap of 'fleabay'. The make is unknown, but being a 0.4.2 loco it is something a little different. it needs painting in Kirkstall & East Seacroft colours and a name applied.

The new coach is 'earning its keep' on a Wetherby to Leeds local service. Seen here 'at the Junction'
L,S & W R trains pass at Leeds Sovereign Street Station.
The Leeds Central bound passenger train is arriving. A goods train bound for Scotland waits for clearance.
The entrance to Clarence Dock.
The backscene is a mix of - on the left warehousing typical to the Leeds area. In the middle is of a building found in Leeds 16 (north leeds.) To the right is a picture of Hyde Park Picture House (Leeds 6 area). I believe the actual cinema is under review for restoration.

I have mentioned previously that I am a supporter of the Preservation & Restoration of Medway Queen P.S.. As a way of bringing in extra monies one way has been to have Special Edition Railway Wagons. They have been made by Dapol in both 00 Gauge and N Gauge.
The Medway Queen made seven (7) trips to Dunkirk in 1940 bringing back troops.
Here are two wagons at Clarence Dock.

Hi josh8.
Those particular wagons were issued in 2020 especially for Medway Queen Preservation Society for the Anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation 1940. They have all sold out.
The M.Q.P.S. now have links with the General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society who are restoring 35011, and have joined together in having Dapol produce wagons for sale.
Links to both Societies ----------------

I know M.Q.P.S. has sold out of all their wagons. Not sure if G. S N.L.R.S. have any left.

Yes it seems only some N gauge wagons remain. However I see comments for perhaps more wagons in 2022 so if it eventuates I can look then.
It's always nice, I feel, if you can purchase something that supports a cause.
