Yes it seems only some N gauge wagons remain. However I see comments for perhaps more wagons in 2022 so if it eventuates I can look then.

I acquired an old match truck in a job lot from a family member. It is to go with the steam crane. Still needs repairing but runs well.

Some wonderful photos there glencairn. Those industrial backscenes on your docks are brilliant, in black and white that makes a very realistic picture. And your new truck fits with the crane perfectly.

The warehouse backscenes at Clarence Dock (and Sovereign Street) are typical to the area. Nowadays they have been modernised etc. and are apartments restaurants etc. Not dark and dismal as I remember in the 1950s/1960s.

At Clarence Dock I put old railway sleepers forming the dock wall, so that if the grandchildren broke them the sleepers could be easily replaced. After three years (or thereabouts) it has been found that I am the only one breaking them.

New dock wall has been built at Clarence Dock.

My five year old younger granddaughter is visiting for the weekend. She was playing with the lighting at Sovereign Street.
"You have to use your imagination," she said.

That dock wall looks fantastic! The railway sleepers worked well but the new wall just upped the realism quite a few notches.

Thank you for your kind comments once again, Josh.

My Grandson Thomas loves to operate Clarence Dock, so I put railway sleepers on the dock wall. Any damage done is easily repaired. Over the time they have been there the only person causing breakages is, er, me. --- Hence time for a new dock wall.

As for the lighting at Sovereign Street, I have my younger granddaughter to thank for doing it. Playing with the Christmas lights settings then we turned the main room lights off.

When I lived in Leeds, from the age of seven I went to Sovereign Street to travel to Dewsbury. The buildings were old and dark foreboding ones, not helped by the dismal street lighting. Smoke from the chimneys added to the gloominess. It frightens me now thinking about it, the fact I wasn't frightened then.

I have always wanted a Director's Saloon. As there is none commercially available I decided to make my own.

A simple way is to alter a commercially available carriage.
A four wheeled carriage from a Christmas present.

With my donor carriage I dismantled the body from the chassis. Removed the seating and plastic windows. I then cut away the supports for three windows and filed them level with the body.

Some decals were removed. New plastic windows inserted.

The seating was altered to open plan. The parts reassembled, New footboards added. One Director's Saloon. Total time to do conversion. Less than one hour.

A Dewsbury Market Place to Leeds Central passenger train at Leeds Sovereign Street station. One could be forgiven if it was thought to be a GNR layout with the (newly purchased) carriage being a GNR one and a GNR van in the yard.

I love the directors saloon! A nicely done conversion. I like coach also. These are a Hornby coach if Im not mistaken? Its nicely put together.

Also another cracking shot of Clarence Dock, its definetely a focul point of your layout.
And there would be nothing wrong with it being part of the GNR haha.

Thank you once again, Josh for your kind comments. Yes, they are Hornby caches. I have a few and fit in well with the era being modelled. My youngest Grandson likes to operate Clarence Dock. He should be here this weekend, but is in quarantine for Covid.
