Cab ride videos are lots of fun, I have done a few on my layout. The times I have done them, the camera has hit: a few speed signs, the footbridge, some coaches. Luckily no damage! They need to make smaller cameras.

Damn, it's beena while sicne I posted here. I must admit I hated the idea of National Express taking over because I imagined HST's in the same white as that company's coaches. Having seen it though, NE's livery looks promising.

On the layout front I've got basically nothing done for about a month. I wont make excuses for myself I was just being really lazy
I hope to get back into the swing of things inspired by the new Heljian 58 and the Bachmann Dynamis (as I promised I wouldn't buy any more rolling stock till the layout's working ).

I also saw some nice reatining walls in this month's Model Rail. They were apparently by Noch so a closer look might finally solve my wall problem. One of the many things slowing progress down. The others are College, cider and the over abundance of delicious food...

Metro, for goodness sake, bite the bullet and build your walls yourself. They might take a little longer, but you'll have a hugely more satisfying, personal wall, and something to be proud off.

On a less twisted note, I will bite the bullet, possibly to find it's a .50 cal that hurts or utterly breaks my teeth but hey!

On an almost un bullet or wall related topic I've been refurbishing a few trees I bought a while abck. The lichen was fading in colour so I replaced it with woodland scenics foliage. I also tired making a couple of trees from sticks in the garden. It's not exactly a mighty Engliah Oak but you get the idea.

Have unearthed some plaster cast wall sections from a long while ago. They're not to be used on the back wall but match quite well with the tunnel mouth which may eventually go by the shed. Pics to follow if I decide to use them.

Again, not much done lately on the Layout but I'm thinking up a design for the retaining walls.
