With much relief, the Loch Ness Monster has been banished from this fair island. Or has something come to take it's place??? Having too much fun with the Hornby T9, the Hornby Peckett, and the Bachmann Duke Dog. I never thought I'd be singing the praises of Bachmann, but they got this one right.

Life progresses at the speed of molasses in Henley, and some things never change. Who knew one could go from Henley to Paris via Chunnel? Happens all the time.

Fly in the Ointment
No matter how well built a model railway is, there is always that fly in the ointment.

Watching your video, Chops, shows quite a difference from the early days of Henley. And I see you've expanded on your locos and wagons.
An enjoyable running session for sure!

Cheers,
Josh

Thanks for posting the videos, Chops. The Soviet Memories brought back our memories of visits to St Petersburg.

I have been intrigued about the idea of cloning extinct creatures. Truth be told, efforts to clone the Wooly Mammoth have come to naught because the freeze and thaw cycle has rendered the DNA worthless. Still...

Chops, if ever we create an award for finding a modelling style that bypasses the accusations of politics, you'll be the first nominee for it. Those corrugated cardboard walls and sticky tape patching perfectly captures the ethos of the Soviet era.
Very atmospheric.
