A fourth radii you say? Do it!

Contemplating your roundey-round and the former point to point, it is wise on several levels. First, it will be small enough to put in the trunk and take to an exhibition, and you are preventing the project from taking you over, rather than you taking over the project.

I have a pen pal in Pennsylvania, he has a very fine layout, a roundy round, in a 4x4 space, and it is exquisitely detailed, and is not overwhelming his busy life, as he is a young man, and plans to read law.

I am enjoying your work, and it serves as inspiration and guidance.

Thanks for your kind comments. There are already four track circles (see page 2 of this topic).

And me :D - though I run four trains on the same circle instead of separate ones!

Unfortunately my 'baseboard' is rather thin and not very rigid  - would be good to mount above floor level too, to avoid obstructions on the line!

I am a bit late to the party ! - because the videos do not work anymore :(

Which controller(s) did you decide upon, did you try the LM317 circuit, does it work ok ?

I used an old Bachmann "Large scale" controller. It works as well as possible. I never tried the LM317 circuit.

Thanks, a very merry go round. :D

That LM317 cct is very simple, thanks for the heads-up, I googled LM317 and found lots of similar usage so I think I will order some and have a play, they dont cost much.
But I will try it out on a spare motor first :) !
