Hi

You've made a lovely start to this layout. Very good use of space, and you have made it look like a model railway and not a train set. Very well done.

I like your choice and use of the buildings too

Thanks
Dan

Hi GreenBR
Boxes are a result of joining a model railway club, were a member buys the boxes and foam and cuts foam to fit then sells at shows for the club funds.

New loco on shed bachmann class 37 europhoenix and after buying spare snowploughs elected to cut them around fix and detail front and rear buffer beams on both the 37s

Quite an operation there. Not often do I get to see a modern era layout, very nice.

The video was fabulous! Encore! What an amazing sound system. Please do show more, that was just a teaser. I am mentally compiling a list of favorite layouts seen in the Forum. This definitely is in the top ten. I know little of modern British range, and this is like Alice in Wonderland.

I was playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata in the background and had to shut if off to listen to this other sort of music emanating from your locomotive. Regrettably, I could not hear the squeak you spoke of. On this side of the dip, our trains squeak, squeal, protest, groan, and clatter continuously. Occasionally, one is treated to ground shaking thump as a flat spot on a wheel thrumbs like a bass drum.

Great point of view on the new video, made me want to throw myself out of my chair to avoid being run over!

OK, have painted the whole base board in a what I hope will be a neutral grey to help when ballast etc is added, so I painted up to as near I could to the track, (which was fun). Made a wall for the edge at the back of the scenic break, also a plate girder bridge gives the way for motor vehicle to access the top level from the right behind the office block. Also while I was moving things around to paint, cleaned the track, which, pleased to say has been very reliable in operation with good current flow everywhere around the layout. I routinely clean all my loco wheels with IPA so again they all run well and none of them are fitted with 'traction tires', which I'm led to believe quickly dirty tracks. I don't know if that's so.

Hi

Not sure if you've mentioned this, but, how did you do the concrete hard standing? The constitution and also the weathering. It looks really good.

Thanks
