I decided to try something a bit different and took a couple of years of messing around to produce a true micro that would not only fit, but could be operated on a shelf in a cupboard. The scenic section is 24 inches. The track is hand built with rail soldered direct onto PCB sleepers. All the stonework is hand scribed onto foamex board. The small traverser on the left will hold a shunter and a single wagon.
In theory I can walk into the room open the door, plug the controller in and enjoy half an hour of shuffling the loco around... Would I go to all this trouble again? Probably not.
