Im having a little track laying session and took this picture. You can see why its worth a day tidying the garden with a view like that 8)

Are you going to run part of your line outdoors?

I've long harboured plans for a garden layout. Ive set my set track up and run Thomas and friends round the gravel area. So a freelance narrow gauge using Thomas locos as donors has never crossed my mind. Nor has a full 00 gauge round the garden and over the pond.. Never thought about it once!

I don't do things by halves though so I'm not really sure I want to embark on it just yet.. Wait till spring when it's warm again though!

One of the quirks of how i seem to have built this layout is things like this.. I'm not sure this support is up to much

Fear not, all is well, the track position has changed so what was once a support will just be a join. In fact this picture shows what I mean. I needed to make the inclines parallel to ensure clearance, I've got track laid from top to bottom to top now with just the track on top left to do.

With lots of proper modelling jobs I could be doing I still can't help myself with some of the embellishments!

Fiddle yard LEDs. They are £2 battery operated set of xmas lights from the Range. I have another spare should the need arise

I was just talking about the range to family members not an hour ago. It's a new shop to me and I haven't visited yet but there's a 2 storey shop at Chatham if that's any good to you mumbles?
Thanks

There's one about 5 mins from me!! Its a terrible place on the whole, i hate shops and shopping!! But it does turn up some cheap stuff, has A2 sheets of coloured card for about 3quid... Probably 2-3mm thick? I do a bit of art at times so handy for those art bits. Cheap DIY stuff too, and cheerful too!

Couple of mine 8)
