Changes to Glencairn Scholarsgate.

Glencairn is actually a small estate south of Wick. No matter what any modeller's licence could say, I just could not visualise Class 55s being that far north. Therefore I 'moved' Glencairn to the Kingdom of Fife; North West of Ladybank just before Newburgh.
Glencairn Scholarsgate is in the town of 'Glencairn' . There was two stations in Glencairn. One belonged to the North British Railway Company; the other to The Caledonian R.C.. Both were terminus stations. Glencairn Scholarsgate Station belonged to the Caledonian Railway Company and survived the Beeching Cuts. The North British Station closed 1967. (As a 'North British' supporter and have a house very near where the the Border Counties Railway ran, that 'hurts' :( ) Now trains arrive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Having built the model railway, a few changes are to be made.
Here is Glencairn shed.

As train services had originally reduced, the shed was becoming 'run down' and a little overgrown. Therefore greenery is required.

Quite a few changes to be noticed, see you can't rest, you have to keep 'fiddling' :D

When I brought the layout out of the loft I wanted to get something running. There was no actual plan of where the station was in the country and the services etc. to run. Therefore many things were utilised in areas to make some sort of scenery, (even though I wasn't truly happy with it.

Now I have made some sort of a plan and background to the railway, things are being changed around and made more pleasing (for me). Amongst the changes made were, Glencairn signal box and station building were moved to Leeds Sovereign Street Station. (See Changes to Sovereign Street.)

Now Glencairn Scholarsgate Station is to be rebuilt. As you say, Lancastrian, I have to keep fiddling. :D

I wish you would just stop tinkering, the changes and might I say improvements that you are making are telling me that I should also do some tinkering and the only problem is when and where do you stop. :D

Moving the scrap yard (and new entrance to diesel shed, still to be built) is allowing me to build a couple of shops that have been 'lying around'. :) Then there are two (or is it three) boxes with things that could be useful for. --------.
