My intention was to build up the 'Tour' photographs in this thread.
Takes less room in the listings ..... working with Win 3.1.1 you
HAD to minimize as much as possible !! It becomes a habit.

Hmmm, sounds like this could be fun, I shalln't add my name to the list just yet, but if I have success planting some bushes this week, i'll jump in to the fray. Could do with something to distract me after the phone call I've had regarding my most recent MRI.

Hi Nickbrad, I wouldn't worry too much about scenery as can be scene from the first visit below.

Guy arrived at Galgorm Hall on Wednesday afternoon with a large delivery of explosive charges requested by the navvies to get the new lines pushed through. With absolutely no fanfare and indeed not a navvie in sight, the short train was connected to a Class 25 for its short haul along the barren lands of Galgorm Hall.

Pulling out of what will be the main station, the train crossed the only piece of completed infrastructure - a bridge...

...before running along the unfinished embankments.

Alas, that is as much as there is to see scenic wise on Galgorm Hall. Perhaps on the next tour there will be more.

If I get a chance, I will give a little touch of weathering to Guy tomorrow before safely stowing him away for his onward journey to the southwest coast of England where a plethora of layouts could await.

Hi Paul,

I believe Guy was looking for a cellar club, but the navvies must have gone on without him
He still has his load then, I think he's going to meet the builders soon.

Grumblebum we've done Australia before, so I'll add you on the list.

I can't wait to get it, just so I can decipher what Dad-1 is on about! I need the code to resolve his cryptic messages!
I thought my layout was naked, barely more than a few patches of ballasted track, but I can at least take solace that I have more than Carnehan (albeit a smaller board area) and have still got a few weeks grace to get it on further. Nothing like a deadline to chivvy up progress. :)

If those navvies spent less time in the cellar club we might have a full circuit of track laid for some trains to run. As for Guys load, yep, still there if you need his assistance.

I would love to join the tour too! Rosevale is ready for it. The last tour I enjoyed was Olympic Olivia way back in 2011!

You sir are on the listing, (Bottom of page 1 in Dave's posting).

"Guy" has come home and arranging to meet many builders friends on
Two Short Planks as part of the mighty reconstruction job.

I've been out at the local Agricultural Show, since early, and legs walked to a standstill !
I've not taken many usable stills, but initially have a video.

Why would Guy want to go to America? What we do have is the will and ability to rebuild.
Here with a train of building materials.

Guys experiences on the Jurassic coast .....
Who thought THAT was a good idea ? In the Yard of HS II

Image

Not only a burning brazier, but Arc welding in the works.

Image

Time to leave the fire hazard zone and travel to the coast.
A route via St Oval, I note the Ale van stayed close, is that
some sort of barrier wagon ?

Image

At North Quay on Two Short Planks Guy met up with so many willing construction
friends with cement, sand, steel girders, pipes of many sizes and types, timber,
ballast and bricks, loads of bricks.

Image

Image

Guy was carefully placed by Marilyn the 06 into a location that would be the trains
cerntre.

Image

As Guy had been brought into the North Quay sidings he heard what he thought were Boo's,
but that was because he didn't understand bovine language. The animals were cheering in
their own way wishing him luck on his perhaps suicide mission ........

Image

I now need to prepare for onward posting, but can't do that until Monday.
