Re: NRM 2017 00 'Tour' STARTED
Great set of photographs rosenblad.
I've been tied up reclaiming old photos for old threads .......
I hope the profanity aimed at PB didn't shock you !!
I'm 'almost' there on rebuilding, taken 5 months.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked them. It takes a lot more than that to shock me, and after all, they have deserved it!

Hi All
I have been informed that Guy has arrived at the South Yard (local post office as I missed Parcel Post this morning) and is awaiting the Shed Master sending down a jinty to collect it.
Mattc6911 - waiting for a reply to my PM, as I'm hoping to get Guy on the road again early next week. if you haven't received a PM please contact me.

Guy was noticed yesterday arriving at Bagnals Bridge area on the up Line.
Firstly seen on a mixed freight coming through Bagnalls Bridge after which the area is named.

Then a close up passing the shed

next passing the coal and ash area.

Now a higher view showing the busy shed

Finally approaching Newport Road and the GPO sorting office

and heading into the South Yard, passing the yard shunter coming the other way.

More to come later.

Top Notch stuff there Mac.
It's great as we don't always see everyone's layout posts, but can certainly
enjoy the cameos and pictures we get in this thread.
I must check the list we're racing towards the end ?

Certainly looking good and I need to get some more scenery done, even if it isn't going to close to being completed. I'm pleasantly surprised how smooth things have gone this time around.

I'm glad Guy arrived safely in UK! Those photos are really great! Nice layout you've got there!

Re: NRM 2017 00 'Tour' STARTED
It was decided that the safest place for an overnight stop for such a prestigeous visiter would be on shed outside the shed
master's office. So later in the day Guy was delivered there with the other shed traffic.

George in the van doesn't seem impressed with it so close to his smoking hideaway.

The following morning the shed pilot came to collect Guy, George is still there but doesn't seem to have noticed its not quite in the same place.

Guy finally leaves for the south yard and onward conveyance.

Thanks all for the complimentary comments. I'm loving every minute of this.
Sorry about the loss of focus on some pics but until you try it it's not easy to tell how bright it isn't.

Some good shots, nice to see some wide shots of each other's layouts
I used to take great photo's with my 35mm camera, seems these modern digital ones are great, till you get down to small detail and poor light, I have invested in good lighting, but like you, some of my shots lack depth of field focus, seems I may have to go back to big exchangeable lenses to get the top results.

nickbrad,
The reason it's run so well is because we have a great group of guys participating.
The two weak links have been bypassed very quickly thanks to efficient members.
Reminds me how's the health ?
I've thoroughly enjoyed this tour, what a great start to overcome the losses caused
by image hosting letdowns. I will say no more ..... W6162

Health is good overall, I'm never going to be gracing magazine front covers for my condition, but I can't complain
I have some home-made flock drying atm, need to get a move on if I'm to avoid too many bare patches of land when guy arrives.

Re: NRM 2017 00 'Tour' STARTED
Guy left Bagnalls Bridge this afternoon, routing Stoke, Derby, Lincoln and points East to Budgetbrooke.
Seen here passing the shed and finally disappearing under Castle St.

I tried to produce a video of the occasion, something I've done very little of, and had mixed results. On the first attempt it looked good while
I was shooting it but looked far too fast for a freight. On the second try the speed was OK but the result seemed very jerky on Youtube, although it is perfectly smooth on the original.
For those in the know I used the video setting on my digital camera and edited with Videopad editer. Any suggestions very welcome (as long as it doesn't cost too much as I don't imtend doing a lot of this).

There have been whispers of some misbehaviour in the shed over the weekend. I'm looking into this and will report.

Breaking News !!!
On Saturday evening a pair of young passed cleaners, under the influence of a couple of pints of Joules Stone Ales decided to play a trick on the shed foreman by hiding Guy.
Unfortunately they were grassed by the shed creep and will be cleaning the inside motion of 4Fs for the next six months,
This is the result of their act - https://ibb.co/kgmzub
