Hi Beynac,

Well it's a Dave thing, it may develop no further............
Those of us that know Dave from many years realize he has
ideas like shafts of light through a tree canopy on a breezy
day ...... then next thing you know he's off on another build.

The good news is that it is still in one piece...

I am having a Spring clean day, sorting all my modelling stuff out. Not very long ago it was on the bottom of the pile:

But I can report that it has emerged in one piece. I may even get to plug it in and run a loco or two later. It is the only loop of track I have so it will remain and I do have the aspiration to scenic the other segments at some stage.

From my other thread:

Anyway are you intending adding the three other scenes to your miniature roundy-roundy ?
For such a small segment that photo with Guy on it hid just how small it is and looked grand.

I really should Geoff, I was actually looking at it this afternoon.

Here is the picture that Geoff is referring to:

Whilst clearing the decks this afternoon in an attempt to create some modelling space I had a little play:

https://youtu.be/RZefWlaARkY

My old Class 06 in (the fictitious) Dutch livery with a rake of empty engineering wagons. In reality it takes up half of the circuit.

"Smoke and Mirrors" as they say. A standard train with standard couplings traversing a circuit significantly tighter than first radius

PS. The grainy effect is added to the video, my little camera works fine.

Thanks Geoff, I thought that you would appreciate a rare sighting of one of my Class 06 fleet.

The reality is that for a single loco it is ace, you can crawl around, but once you start adding wagons you create a lot of drag, so need to add juice.

I love watching your long freight runnings on St Oval but I cannot afford the space, I am working on plans for something in between though
