Looking good - great to see the whole layout too.
Guessed I might be in the minority re the 20's sound but ugh not for me except sounded good once running, it's the screech that puts me off. Railway Philistine I know but hey you like it and that really is what counts.

It's actually based on Saltly hence the name Slightly.
The whole layout is based on diesel shed movements, in and out, refuel, bit of maintenance and storage.
The running lines are secondary to my requirements but the first part of the layout that I built.
To run the layout as I want I will require lot's of loco's, approximately 40ish!!!
mumbles Go on! run some trains! you know you want too!
MrT I look forward to seeing your 20's running.

Back Ache!
Spent most of my day off on my back or crunched up a corner under the layout?
Fitting signal control electronics is painful
and to top it all when you spent hours in pain and frustration all that happens is when a train goes past the signal it turns red!
Sorry no picture update today (nothing to show!).

Have been having a go at some scenery, not one of my good points!
This is the lower corner of the layout.
I have built a road going across at an angle.
Using a piece of off cut ply supported on some off cut blocks.
Then painted grey.
Pavements are card with cuts in it to give a vision of slabs. Then given a wash of black which is quickly rubbed off.
The road is painted coal black with white "trim line" cut into sections for the road line.
This was done prior to fixing in place.
Supports added to guide mod rock.
Mod rock added. (very messy) over screwed up kitchen tissue.
Then once again painted grey.
I'm in the process of added greenery at the moment but in this weather the glue takes a couple of days to dry.
I want to put a broken fence along the edge of the slope to the railway and a new fence along the side of the pavement, I'm thinking of putting a concrete fence on the far side of the road!
Then adding detail like shopping trolleys etc!

.

Looking good Andy, if you are adding greenery then paint the base green rather than grey ........ saves a lot o' grief later.
