My next model purchase is going to be an N15 class.

The last trip I went on was the 'Dalesman' over the 'S&C' with 'Jubilee 45699 Galatea' at the head, great day out, but slightly drunk towards the end though.

I have got some rebuilt WC's, big fan of the Bulleids in either form.

Lovely photos btw.

Only time I ever saw Braunton it was in a sorry state, great to see it restored

Great progress with the layout BTW, looking good

This Signature Left Intentionally Blank, but since I have written this and I intended to do it, this Signature is intentionally not blank. Paradox or What?

Lovely layout :), and lovely photos Kentish
I wonder why Hornby never produced braunton? A bit of southern mainline action always gets my interest peaked. And well modelled too!

The transformation from Luckymucklebackit's photo is amazing: folk came from far and wide to see Braunton in all of her restored glory ...

It is quite incredible how a rotting hulk of a steam loco, that has been stood for decades, can be brought back to pristine condition, these preserved locomotives are a real credit to the people who have given it their all to restore them.

Its been a little while since I posted anything about the layout. Here are some more photos showing how things are progressing in the main scenic section:

There is still an awful lot to do, the long Pedestrian Footbridge is still to be made, the signalbox, and countless other details.

I particularly like the feeling of distance/depth given by the backscene beyond the road bridge.

Latest project, the long footbridge which extended right the way across the station and branch line, mostly made from mounting card.

Agree with the CHIEF - it's a very well done layout, "wiv propa ingines". And being a Southern prototype, even better.
