Really nice photos. They still run steam trains in the Highlands most days in summer so your steam locomotives are fine!

How did you come up with the name?

I did not know that steam engines circulated only the summer.

I wanted a short name and which makes Scot!
It is quite simple. :D

My wife is called Vanessa.
My name is Alain
My daughter is called Héloïse and my son Tristan...

I took the first letter of every first name.

I am going to publish other photos of the layout very soon.

Good evening,

To answer your question, here is an overview of the layout.

Here are two photos representing both parts.

If I tried that Trouve would be Dpkle - sounds like a particularly small place a few hundred mile east of Moscow

:)

The finished layout looks great - and fun to run

Excellent- it's a good realistic name, I've spent the weekend in Scotland playing by lochs and on hills that all begin with V.

When I say the steam trains only run in summer I mean in the present day. Did you enjoy the Jacobite? I will be catching the train to Mallaig in the summer on a cycling tour and am trying to decide if it's worth the extra money compared to the normal train.

YES! :D I really enjoyed it when I did it, even if I did get coal dust in one eye and couldn't see out of it for the rest of the day...

Mind you, who knows what the steam mainline situation will be like with WCRC current difficulties, they operate virtually all the mainline steam excursions including the Jacobite.

Thank you very much for yours messages ! :D
You are really very kind.

Yes, I took Jacobite Train during my stay in the Scotland.
We made a stage to Fort William. We went to Malaig.

A supernatural travels with Harry Potter's viaduct!

Magnificent landscapes, exceptional !
The Scotland is a fantastic country. The one that I like most.

I think that I caught the "virus" of the British train, during this journey. :D

Here are some photos of the layout with my two class 40. The weathering of both models is a personal work.
