Alpha Street Goods

A little something I have been planning for a while. Alpha Street Goods is generic urban goods yard. Could be for handling any type of traffic with a single passeger line running around it. The idea is to try and convey space in a about 3 x 2. The layout will be offered for sale once completed. I will let the pictures do the talking....

I always enjoy your projects - so I will follow with interest.

I too am creating an N 'roundy' in a 3' x 2' space - N is great for this - as you are showing with this.

Thanks all, Yeah, things are progressing on this one fast. I am uncertain how to finish this off at the moment. I am thinking of leaving the hardstanding a 'blank canvass' for the potential purchaser. Its currently leaning towards and steam/diesel era layout so will have to see how it pans out...
The ballast is mainly grey with a bit of tan mixed in at one end... all will change tonight when the airbrush comes out.

A bit more work done on Alpha Street Goods. Ballast now it is dry has been weathered with rail dirt. I will be adding some oily stains soon. The base level of green added has been added using woodland scenics fine underbush. These areas will be static grassed when dry. Done some more work on the roads and pavements, the big house now sits at pavement level and has a basic garden and yard. The roads all now have their pavements and respective raised areas. The hard standing has been filled up to the nearside rail, I am undecided on whether to inset the tracks or not. Next stage is to finish the street level with some more low relief buildings, followed by the back scene, then to start adding some finer detail. Now although I imagined this to be steam era layout, and the fact I don’t own any steam loco’s, I couldn't resist putting some diesels on it...

I know how much you like video's, so hes a little one whilst testing the very simple wiring! Work will progress tonight, hping to reach some stage of completeness by the weekend...

Very brief really, will let the pictures do the talking. Added a backscene, and some bushes. I don’t really want to finish this one off because it is now for sale, I want to leave the fine details to the purchaser who could decide to finish it how they wish
