Now N ....minor changes (Winter Project) P16...
Re: Now N Begins...
I like the low down angle you've taken the last shot from. Good progress.

Re: Now N Begins...
This is going well. The good scenic work deserves some proper ballast in my view. I especially like the scratch built card buildings - these can become addictive.
Re: Now N Begins...
Thanks. I shall reflect on ballasting in due course!
Meantime, a new platform basic shell and some ground work in shed area.
And the longest train I've ever run!

Re: Now N Begins...
Great videos Dave, and the layout seems to coming together nicely.
Re: Now N Begins...
Great stuff David. Better than that OO stuff overlapping the end of the layout.

Re: Now N Begins...
Thanks Rob. Metcalfe "bricks" - either in the kits or just sheets for the DIY bits.
Carving and plastering blue foam takes about one-tenth of the time of card formers and Modroc! So easy....

Slowly bringing the road down into centre stage!

Progress slows as weather improves (and cycles need post-winter servicing!).

Hi,
Looking good - the more you cover the board with landscape the better it looks.
I think the hill blends pretty well with the back-scene now.
Regards,
James

Re: Now N Begins...
I agree. The landscape blends beautifully with the backscene. Keep up the good work mate!
Re: Now N Begins...
I'm really enjoying this build. I've seen many "exhibition" layouts that have a very obvious transitions between the layout and back scene. Yours is as good as anyone could hope to achieve
Carry on sir!

Aw shucks, chaps! Blushing so unbecoming in one of my age! But even over-generous compliments gratefully accepted.
I did put some thought into 3-d bits in relation to the flats - seemed that with only 27" of board the more visual depth I could conjure up the better.
Another bit of pure white landscape covered...

Onward (if slower)....

Whynot
It certainly coming on a pace, is that a fossil I can see in the cut of end of the hill?
