Another way to make bits of the layout come to life as you go is to add any grass you plan to use in that area. This is Noch static grass matting. It doesn't get in the way of anything else you have to do but it gives what you a doing a lift - and you a bit of a success. The crap trees were dumped later on !!!

Coming to life very nicely - and quickly. The Noch grass looks excellent. Thanks for the photos.
