Mustn't forget the bridge, laser cut though not scratchbuilt.

Absolutely brilliant, Jim. 52 pages of interesting photographs and reading.
Many thanks for sharing.

Absolutely amazing mate! that loco depot looks fantastic. Were those buffers scratch built items or purchased? I like the little touches. The ash on the ground looks nothing short of perfect and is that sand I see coming under the sand house door?
And the parcel depot and goods depot.. the realism astounds me. From the cobblestones to the business of everything.
Hey nothing wrong with a laser cut bridge! Owning a laser cutter myself its a great tool for modelling. But for example Im drawing up a set of terraced shops this week, its taken me hours haha. Easy enough gluing a couple bits of wood together in the end but the initial design is more than compareable to the time it takes cutting plasticard at times.

Thanks TimberSurf and Glencairn.

Joshv8; Thanks for your comments also, the buffer stops are the Peco railbuilt ones, with the lamps picked out in white.
haha the sand pouring out, pinched that idea from another layout I saw at an exhibition.

Thought I would upload a short video, using a new camera.

The picture quality is far better than the last effort, but,
I can't seem to increase the sound. It might be going back if
I can't get the volume cracked.

Here it is anyway, just humour me

Hi Jim
I recently bought a new camera to up my game. I did a lot of research and picked one with very specific features, one of them being an external mic socket, as some types of camera's are known to have poor sound. The picture quality is certainly great. What's the camera you bought?

Hi TimberSurf.

I bought an AEE Digicam, it is just a cheapie, it will do until I get the feel for it.

Ah! a GoPro equivalent! Yes, sound is never going to be terrific on one of those. You could always record sound on your phone at the same time as taking the video and synchronise it in a video editing suite.

Great Scott, that videography really shows off the magnitude of this layout. I use a video editor called "Filmora", which is rather easy to use and download sound effects and music unto. Thank you so much for taking the leap and sharing this excellent video of a master's level layout. That bridge is especially dramatic.
I don't care what they say. I believe in Nessie.

It looks good to me. All the backscene and low relief style buildings make it look larger. Well done.
Finding all those vehicles must have taken ages!
Enjoying 7mm narrow gauge.
