Trees sounds like a good idea to me.mark_brody wrote:It does look steep in that picture I must admit. It doesn't look so bad in the flesh but I'm going to try to 'flatten' it with some tree of different heights. I'm not keen myself, but I'm stuck with it now. Any ideas?

I've rubbed some plaster onto the wooden supports and then began to paint them. Not quite concrete enough colour yet, but getting there:

Re: Torr Works - Biting off more than I can chew!
Evening all,
The concrete pillars are now a bit more like concrete colour and I've put the start of the horizontal pieces in. I've also decided to put some LEDs in there to give a bit of atmosphere. The conveyor is next to be built but after much deliberation I've decided not to go for a moving one. I think it will be too difficult.

Torr Works by night (not brilliant photo's but it gives you the idea):

I've bought some white LEDs to use as uplighting on the rock faces. But I need to make some housings t fit them in first (like those used to light up castles).

Uwwww pretty lights
I tried the LEDs for buildings, to light them up, but not very good. I found these are spot on.

Re: Torr Works - Biting off more than I can chew!
Little bit of an update.
I've put some fencing in, started my first scratch built building and am in the throws of fitting a tunnel portal.
Here are a few pics:

Fencing and phone box:

Substation (set in plaster), I used Bachman security fencing around it.

Tunnel Portal

The building:

Again, I've set this in plaster, so it looks like it's built in the ground and not just sat on it. I've also put a bit of framing inside, so when people look inside there is something to see.
I've also put the LED uplighter/flood lights in the rock face. They are a little too subtle... You were right Mr Levin.

Hi Barks,
This is the thread that helped me out:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3333&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
I bought it off Ebay and is very good quality. I've set mine too low though and 1/2 of it is now hidden behind hills so I need to buy another myself.
Cheers,
Mark
