Hello Terry,
Many Thanks, mate for the "disgusting, atmospheric smokey/steaminess  Miliband, the Junior, will probably slap an Order on you, but just live dangerously, it's much more entertaining  By the way how did you manage to "slip-in" that coughcoughchokechoke diesel ?:) ,
Kind Regards,
Michael Thornberry.

With the smoking ban, make sure your engines do that outside the shed!
I'm back and now I model in 'Strain your eyes gauge'...

Hi all .....here my latest project .....LNER B1 #1000 Springbok
Image
....in Apple Green.

I prefer BR Black ...
Image
Image
....so here it is as 61000 Springbok.

I'm not really a fan of weathered locos, but this loco was a regular through my home station in the 1950's ....it was never clean even back then.
Paint is "Humbrol Matt Black",number transfers by "Fox",lining transfers by "Kemco",weathering by B&Q brown & cream emulsuion [very watered down .....and applied by brush]
I'm not sure I'm happy with the lining on the L/H side of the tender ......I suspect a little more weathering might hide the fact that I did'nt get the lining straight .... :(

best regards

Hi .....its five months since my last update, there's not a lot new on the layout since then, but I recently got around to taking the time to photograph every loco on my layout.
Some of the photos may look like the older ones [lets face it,there's only a limited amount of poses one can use on a layout] ....but all the pics are new.

Firstly .....the LMS fleet
Image
46443
Image
42327
Image
46100 Royal Scot.
Image
45697 & 45593 ....Achilles & Kolhapur
Image
44422
Image
46205 Princess Victoria
Image
A pair of 6201 Princess Elizabeths .....I originally bought them both as spares for 46205 [above] .....but one of them now runs ....and a minimum of "fettling" is all thats needed now to get the other one running.
Image
42789
Image
43209 ....yes ....I know the protypical 43209 was an 0-6-0,but Hornby saw fit to issue a freebie 0-4-0 as 43209.
Image
Another Hornby freebie .....#80 Queen Elizabeth .....this loco is based on the Caledonian 611 class [the same as "Smokey Joe"] .....the 2010 Hornby Collectors Club freebie is also based on this loco.
Image
JInty 47606
Image
8F ....48151
Image
70000 Britania

The LNER fleet
Image
Mallard & Scotty
Image
N2 69531
Image
60093 Papyrus
Image
60021 Wild Swan
Image
61000 Springbok
Image
B12 8572
Image
B12 8572 in its later guise as #61572
Image
Another B12 .....this time 8544

The SR & GWR fleet
Image
6000 King George
Image
57xxPT #8751
Image
28xx #2847
Image
Holden Tank #329 .....another Hornby "freebie"
Image
Schools 907 Dulwich
Image
Southern Terrier #11
Image
Two Hornby "freebies" both were #7,one got renumbered to "6"

My Hornby Dublo fleet
Image
80054
Image
7013 Bristol Castle
Image
N2 # 69567 ....complete with tinplate coaches
Image
68012 & 68028 .....these are both static models.

The Deisels
Image
D9003 Meld
Image
D5200
Image
D5614
Image
D2420 & DD2785 .....D2785 never existed,it was a ficticios number between two classes of diesels,D2420 is preserved at Barrow Hill ....in BR Blue.
Image
And finally .....a Met-Cam DMU unit

Thats all for now
best regards
Terry
