Looking good - reminds me a bit of my firework detonator control panel. I haven't got to this stage yet on the old railway (far from it), but going on past experience of mundane soldering of firework dets. It is best to take your time, cos mistakes are easily made at this stage but bloody hard to find later.

How many solder iron burns do you have? :D

cheers fellas, god knows when the end will be though :D have taken a break from wiring for a few days, from railway really, mainly due to playing and watching cricket!

Just a quick question - how have you attached you tunnel portals? I have just propped mine in place and they keep falling over on me.

i have attached card 'tunnel walls' with brickpaper on them and this keeps them upright. look at the pic here, a few pics down
makes is clearer

Cheers for that - gonna have to give something a try. I guess as I have a card backing for the tunnel I could PVA the portals to that.
