Chesterton, mirco layout

Postby matt-b » Sat Oct 13, 2012 6:23 pm

Hello people.

Here is my new N gauge layout.
I have at the moment a Regional Railways 150 and 156 (away for weathering) for passenger services then a EWS 66 + 3 VGA`s for freight use.
Hoping to get my Mercig models out on it over the next few weeks and add some more pallets to the yard.

Thanks, Matt

Wow, that looks great. Despite its (relatively) small size the layout gives a feeling of much open space (if that makes sense  ).
Very nice.

All the best,
Michael

Bloody fantastic. I like micro layouts and this is one of the best ive seen :) Im not that big a fan of modern image but I could happily have a play on this one. Is the track code 55?

EDIT: there seems to be a mimic diagram in the small picture, are the points electric?

I like the fact that you haven't filled the whole space up with track. It makes the whole thing look a lot roomier so you don't have that cramped look that bedevils a lot of micros.

Hello

Thanks for your comments..

The track is standard code 80. The points are manual but there is a dead section at the end of the platform that can be turned on or off.

I am happy with it, have thought about doing some exhibitions maybe...

Ideal i`d like it longer so i could run abit longer freights but oh well.

Thanks, Matt

That is a cracking little layout. Nicely modelled station and the telegraph poles are a nice touch.

Mat. :)

Would be with a Gaugemaster controller, the 156, 150, 37 and 4 VGA wagons :)
