Motors Layout

Postby Motors » Sun Nov 12, 2006 4:44 pm

I have managed to make a start lol, went and got the the materials yesterday and built my baseboard this afternoon, not long finished actualy lol.
it is 7 x 4 and i will be using 00 gauge.
my 5 yr old soon seems quite interested in what i'm doing lol and is looking forward to seeing the train moving lol,so i'm going to loosly base it off the trakmat first and second radius's as i have the caldonian local which came with track packs a,b&c.
As some of you know i am prone to changing my mind(understatment lol,no i'm not female lol),this layout is going to be for my son & me and i am going to (this will please pete lol) start collecting N gauge for myself.so this will give me a good learning curve and experience ready for when i build my N gauge layout.
Dont know when any modeling eg scenery, hills etc will begin as i only have my baseboard, track & rolling stock at present, but i'll post some pics when i get started.

Keep us posted won't you! What sort of things does junior like? Is it Thomas or Harry Potter...or does he just like real trains anyway?

I think I lead the forum when it comes to ‘mind changing’ I currently have tons of space and blank baseboards but am a bit lacking in the enthusiasm department

I look forward to following your progress

thanks guys....

@ Infrontcat,he likes thomas but i think he's juat waiting to see the train moving and playing with it lol.

@ chrisalddin, the reason for the extra foot is to add hills one track goes into a tunnel, and some raised scenery following the hill for the inner tack so it's raised and runs over a road.

@ lofty, yeaah i think so am doing both now lol so no more changing mind lol.
