I had only 1 point and 1 length of track fitted at that time  got some more down and will hopefully have the outer loop and the siding finished tomorrow. :)

Update - Outer loop is done with the siding and run off for a maintenance depot. Ive changed my idea a little by taking out the third loop and shifting the container depot to the inside of the right hand side. Im also adding in a tunnel along the back right hand wall over the 2 lines with the container depot to be placed between the centre hole and tunnel. I have the idea in my head so hard to explain exactly how it will fair out.

Image
Start of siding that runs into the quarry

Image
A 37 with 8 coal wagons for scale

Image
This corner and down part the left hand wall will be the quarry

Image
Once the second loop is in, the 2 lines will be hidden in a tunnel along this back edge with container depot in the space in front

Image
Overall outer loop with siding at the top and in the fore ground is the run off into the maintenance yard and fueling point.

yea it is a fair size, i have trouble trying to take in how much work i have ahead of me  . right hand corner to corner is 2.2m, along the back wall is 3.7m, from left corner to corner is 4.3m. the expression "eyes are bigger than your stomach" comes to mind now and again. :D

Wow, that is a LOT of space! '000s of hours and ditto £s ahead of you I think. I much admire such commitment - I've never been sufficiently sure of the future to contemplate such a timescale for anything, no doubt a psychological trait I guess. Good luck!
