Fairly busy day today. Got some paint slapped around on the board which was quite therapeutic after the joys of work all week. The coal drop is also fixed down now, and has it's track connected.

The preserved steam shed has its 'concrete' floor, and a bit of ballasting done. Forgot how much fun that is. Not.

While waiting for things to dry I sent the 0-6-0 for a trundle

And the Frenchman too

With works in progress the 9F was pressed into service on the engineering train

And after an offer they couldn't refuse from a chap who just happened to have some tarmac going spare, the preserved steam shed volunteers now have a car park

9F and 0-6-0 together

And I got artistic with a view of the BR logo on my ancient 37, through the space between the chassis and boiler of the 9F.

On a more practical note, the cow ramp now has fencing and a gate

And after finding a serviceable set of points I forgot I had, the small freight yard has had a re-jig. The goods shed will have to find an elsewhere to live, probably when I get onto the inner loop.

Finally a view from the coal drop wall.

I was also amazed to find he buffer missing off the Deltic, and the one missing off the 37, in my bag of salvaged ballast from my layout of 20 years ago. Result!
That's this week's update, off to Lincoln tomorrow to see what goodies I can acquire.
Remember, Bert's in one of the photos above. Somewhere...
