An exciting week at the newly named Goatbridge this week, due to new arrivals and much tracklaying!
First new arrival (courtesy of Jimmy77) was a nice little class 45. After replacement metal couplings, a replacement buffer, a clean and a bit of sympathetic weathering it was into service:

Next arrival (thanks to ollieollieollie) was a little tri-ang 0-6-0. it was given a lube, cleaned, repainted buffer beams, renumbered slightly and given new BR crests before being put to work. Here it meets 47606(!)

Works still have to fit the front numbers though...

Third arrival for the week was (thanks to Foo) a rather nice Castle Class, transferred from GWR Penebsingston depot.

Which brought with it a nice tender for my better half's Hall class

This week's tracklaying has mostly centred round finishing the station tracks, installing the second load of sidings and getting the turntable operational for the diesels to huddle round. This was made possible by the acquisition of more track, partly from a local chap retiring from selling such things and partly from Jimmy77 again. Many thanks J!
First stage was the turntable, seen here being tried for size by a steam interloper!

Next a spur for the fuelling depot was added

And pretty soon all the diesels (and the electric Frenchman) had a home

The GWR locos have staged a takeover of the steam shed though...

Leaving the poor little (!) 9F out in the cold!

At the other end of the layout, the large sidings are in and the freight depot has indeed found an elsewhere to be.

All the above activity meant Bert didn't have time to skulk off to the pub this week. He found a vantage point to watch developments from...
