Heljan class 31 a nice visitor to the layout.

Adding the concrete walls to the pits. These are from kirtley model buildings there printed papers.
So this is how far I've got since February. I've got another show at the Pontypool & Blaenavon railway model show 20 th July.

My daughters bought me a mikes model water crane for Father's Day so after construction I've glued it in place. I've added sand and talc around it, once dry I will spray it all black then brush in some matt ash black weathering powders and fix that in place with cheap hair spray.
This gives a good compacted ash look.

Steps now completed and the ground cover around the water crane has been sprayed. Waiting for a delivery of weathering powders now.

I've been doing some detailing recently on a heljan hymek using casts parts from JLTRT. Here is the bogie side both the original and with new cast parts being added.
Also both a western and hymek buffer beam taking shape.
