Well, unusual to the sun bleached land of the Zulu, today Norma V arrived at Rorke's Shed during a full on snow storm. A small squad was sent out from the barricades in a truck to reccy the strange new arrival with bayonettes fixed and orders to retreat to the redoubt at the first sign of trouble.

Luckily for Lt Bromhead, that funny noise in the distance, that sounded like a train.. was a train, but one the likes of which none of the defenders of Rorke's Shed had ever seen. Very Wonderful things these new trains.

HA!! fooled ya! ...sorry no update or pics today, last minute wedding plans, stress and the house are taking up far too much model railway time this week, but shall have some photos of NormaV's stay here in sunny/snowy Hampshire very soon. am hoping to hold onto her until the end of the month, where, she will be making an appearance on stage at the Kings Theatre, Portsmouth! :)

discussed this with my other half yesterday, she is convinced that having a long track along the front of th stage will be some kind of trip hazard, and what with a toddler being the flower girl, i might rethink that one lol

I would like to give a special mention and HUGE thank you to Richard and Collette, who were with me on the day, and not forgetting a very special lady, 'Norma V' :D

Obviously calls for a photo of the blighter! We can't have the perishers hitching a ride anytime they like!

After ‘Tractor 37’ this fantastic tour will be over :(

Maybe it is time to start planning the next one :D 8)

We have had waggons and a carriage so how about a loco next, something like a Hornby or Bachmann 0-4-0  :!:

I have a couple that I would happily supply :P

On the subject of pictures would it be possible organise all the pictures from the tour in to a dedicated thread or file :!:
