Re: Milford se:Snowploughs for a 37 page 6

Postby HARRYMALLARD » Sat Jun 23, 2012 4:57 pm

Hello everyone :) WARNING CONTAINS BLURRY PICTURES :o

I have been working (yeah right  )

I have been doing some cutting and pasting with industrial superglue and some yellow paint.

Here is my achievement : a snowplough for my class 37, CAITHNESS. To give it a bit of a highland flavour.

a few pictures for nice and blurry :D

TOTAL COST nothing at all  happy Harry

Cheers Jas I really love it when people take an interest in my work. I have very little funds so just go through the house and my boxes of bits for supplies and only buy stuff when necessary.

The snowplough is just paper stiffened with superglue  everything I make involved superglue (industrial strength)

Cheers Harry

Re: Milford se: Repaints galore! Vent van and VW page 6

Postby HARRYMALLARD » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:23 pm

Hello modellers :)

I have done a bit more hacking about with my 37 to backdate it to early BR blue when it had headcode boxes not headlights :

Image

My refrigerated van has been given a nice new coat of blue with a grey roof

Image

Image

Same blue, different techniques:

Image

A small bench has been added to the mess room

Image

A Hornby figure has been deprived of his pickaxe so he can operate points instead

Image

A small bench has been added to the mess room in the engine shed

Image

I have stared to add some eyes to a figure

Image

And finally a question to end with : Is the VW leaning or not?

Yeah, the VW is leaning, just like the real thing [of a certain age].

The VW is leaning. Historically accurate soggy suspension is taking modelling to a new level mate!

Well the VW wasn't leaning, it was a trick of the light, the bumper was bet and distorted to make it appear so
