Hi Michael

I'm afraid the refresh button may have to be pressed considerably more. I've just realised that four wires in the power box have fused because a certain stupid b*stard left the power on and...welll, to be honest I'm not sure exactly why it happened.

It basically means that I have no power on the 'up' line once a train departs the station, so that means a section of about 16 feet has zero power. Needless to say, I'm not exactly jumping for joy. Hopping mad maybe, but joy, no!

Anyhow, I'm gonna give it a go in the morning and, fingers crossed, it should be back on. Still, better excuse than leaves on the line I suppose

Cheers

Tim

I think you are just trying to keep hold of the wagon as long as possible :)

Ooh, you cheeky blighter :o

Anyhow, it seems the damage was a lot less than I initially feared. All I had to do was disassemble the power box, slip off the back plate and resolder the four wires to their respective ports. This time I ensured that all the wires are well insulated so as not to have a repeat

As for the camera hassle, this will be resolved in the morning as I have arranged to go to Ben's in the morning to pick up the camera power charger. All things being equal...nah, I'm not tempting fate ;)

Whilst the charger is doing its stuff tomorrow morning, I'll be re-laying as section of track on the lower boards that has prompted me to use more than my weekly quota of profanities in a single day today. I realised that I must have had a bad day when I laid it because it is so uneven. Good news is that, fingers crossed, all the old derailing points seem to have been sorted out now, so hopefully at some point tomorrow I will finally be able to just sit back and admire mi' handywork :)

Cheers all

Tim

Yeah, I checked it out many moons ago and seem to remember you being near there! Didn't see your line from the satellite pics though ;)

Morning

Well, first the good news: camera is working, first set of vids are on the pc and I've managed to wangle a lift to go to an interview in Brentwood this afternoon :D

Bad news is, it's miserable as woman with no shops put there :? and the videos are taking for-bloody-ever to upload

Anyhow, I shall be braveing the elments in a wee while to get NoRM all pictured and videoed so he can be all packed up and sent of to Neil in due course :)

Here's one vid for now at least ;) It shows A2 Pacific 60525 'AH Peppercorn' with a 'down' charter shooting up Mumbledon rise and meeting V2 60807 coming back on the 'up' line with a postal express:

I'm afraid the quality is a bit iffy

Cheers

Tim

This video has been a long time coming and worth every minute of that wait.
2 trains, 2 railroad tracks, one going the other one coming back. Click Clack, Click Clack.
