Well im sorry for the lack of photos that i promised, school work as been distracting me and i havent had that much time to go up into the loft. Anyway here they are:
Image
D1062 Western Courier after arrival.
Image
D1008 Western Harrier has now joined D1062.
Image
In one piece, no cracks in the frames, and running like a dream, 103 Flying Scotsman.
Image
Double trouble, 9 Donald and 10 Douglas.
Image
5521 has arrived (well this is 5555 actually :P)
Image
The star of the line, when it works! 30585 on display with the incorrect china clays.
Image
Looking right at home on the Maunsell stock, the loco is due to be sent back to Kernow for replacement as she looses all traction going forwards :/
In other news, another Hydraulic has arrived, in the shape of Class 42 D817 Foxhound in Maroon. She will eventually become Greyhound! Also arrived are a GUV van, a Full Brake MK1 for my TPO train and NE brakevan. Finally, taking off from the railways, two airfix kits are now in my ownership, a spitfire and an Angel Interceptor (from Capt Scarlet) the Interceptor will be hung over the railway while the Spitfire will go on my Airfield museum along with several other planes!
Over and out!

After much debate, the winter gala will have a Severn Valley Railway Theme to it. It will be taking place...later today! This is because the weekends coming up are both fully booked with other things! So the line up will be as follows:
7802 Bradley Manor (v)
7812 Erlestoke Manor (r)
7819 Hinton Manor (on display outside sheds) (v)
45xx 4566 (v)
57xx LT95 (r)
2mt 46443 (v)
4mt 43106 (r)
Collett Goods 3205 (r)
with 4575 5521 (r) taking part of even the numbers out!
A small goods train will be running, along with an auto train and also the snow plough, along with the normal passenger sets.

MAJOR NEWS!!!
The railway has now closed for winter maintenance, this will include refurbishment to the lines main terminus. It will all happen in stages, stage 1: remove the 4 road shed area and replace with a 2 road shed area. Stage 2: realign the station so a spur can run past the station on the inside of the board to the location of the new museum, which will be the National Railway Museum outpost plus will have two or three sidings to accommodate a Hornby Brighton Belle, a Bachmann Blue Pullman and my railtour stock. Stage 3: build a diesel depot and small carriage shed in the space left over. Stage 4: continue building the rest of the railway.
The railway hopes to reopen for the Christmas Cracker Gala on December 25th which will see a fantastic line up of locomotives including 30777 Sir Lamiel and Super D 49395.
Next is an update on the lines locos. Three new locos have arrived, 54 Waddon (12th terrier) 69023 Joem and 7029 Clun Castle.
Finally the railway is being renamed. Thanks to the help of a television drama series, the railway is now called Downton Valley Railway. Station names have yet to be decided on and where in the UK it will be is something else to decide on.
Thanks for reading!
Kenny

Photos of the redevelopment will be up soon, ill take them with the Christmas Cracker Gala photos. Talking of the gala here is the lie up of locomotives (subject to availability) :
Special Guests
70000 Britannia
30777 Sir Lamiel
Super D 49395
Residents
3440 City of Truro
N2 1744
8750 9600
4575 5526
Ivatt 2MT 41312

If any of the locomotives are not available, Black Five 5000 will be used as cover. Hopefully in the new year there will be layout progress, new boards, new buildings, proper platforms, scenery and of course more locomotives! 6023 King Edward II is top of that list ;)

Well here are the photos, they are clearer than before as i now have a better light up in the loft.
Slight change in loco roster, 3440 City of Truro was withdrawn due to front pony truck problems. Luckily a resident returned to service just in the nick of time. After being taken out of service due to a couple of faults a few months ago, 35005 Canadian Pacific steamed again after the clicking from the valve gear was fixed and a replacement front pony truck was sourced (borrowed from 35028 Clan Line)

49395 looks at home on the freight.

30777 Sir Lamiel returns the Royal Train.

Two photos just for the fun of it, the first showing 30777 alongside my latest Castle, 7029 Clun Castle.

And finally, to celebrate a year since i got my camera, here is a photo of the locomotive i got last Christmas, 3650 (along with 49395)
Image
You see, the first ever photo i took using this camera was of 3650 last Christmas morning, so i thought it would be a good way to celebrate :)
Merry Christmas!

Thanks Larry. Here are some general photos from running trains today:
Image
Image
Now i was planning on having a southern region double header using 34051 Winston Churchill and 30777 Sir Lamiel, this didn't go to plan however as Churchill decided not to run, so a boiler lift was needed!
Image
Image
I found nothing wrong with it :? so it is going to work tomorrow with me for a second opinion!
Anyway, more piccys! :D

13 at the current end of the line.

Full view of the layout.

Final photo of the day. 30587 brings the last train of the day into Platform 2.
Thats all folks!!

Thanks Bocaj :)
In other news, i have recently acquired my third Queen Mary Brakevan, this one is in BR Livery, its a nice model and a bargain at £5!
Also i have now put destination boards onto my BR mk1 set in chocolate and cream. I remembered i had these boards on another set of coaches so i thought i might as well take them! The destinations are: Paddington, Aberystwyth and Pwhelli, the Cambrian Coast Express! A suitable headboard will also be sourced eventually.
That's all for now!
Kenny.
P.S Happy new Year! (my first post of 2012 )
