GCSE scrapyard project

I had my GCSE'S last year and for art i made a scrapyard using old airfix loco kits and triang locos. It wasnt until Trainsandco mentioned about his pug kit that i remembered i hadnt posted anything onto here! So i thought i better had (1 year on isnt too late i suppose! )
Well anyway the yard has three lines, an old tractor and a grounded coach body as an office. On one side of the yard the line is jam packed with locos, a triang britannia with no tender, a airfix schools kit and a triang Caledonian Single with no tender, this is to potray the lines of locos at barry scrapyard many years ago. The middle line has a very stripped airfix large prairie. This will soon be joined by a very scruffy ruit d van kit. Finally on the other outside line, there is an airfix standard 4mt mogul, an airfix diesel crane and a lima diesel shunter. Some of the items got damaged in the little room in the back of the art room last year so i have removed them and intend to improve everything. First of was to spray the diesel shunter with rust, this was a new addition i got only recently for a £1, so i thought it would be prefect for this diarama. The fruit D was also sprayed, while the diesel crane, brit and prairie got another coat to tidy them up a little. The track was also sprayed so it looks like the rust has dripped off onto the sleepers and the track hasnt been used, so the rails are now also rusty. i plan to spray over the top of one of the locos to get the rust spray to create a puddle around the loco to give a little more effect. the Scenery will be altered around the sides too (i ran out of time to do this in the 10 hour project) so with these improvements, i might take it back to school to show my teacher (i got an E for it last year, but art isnt one of my strong points!) i will get photos of this once i have got some other stuff done to it and then will continue with the alterations!! :)
Thanks for looking!
Kenny

Thanks Larry, no photos yet, but i have been busy adding bits, 70000 has now been given a white paint job by a group of enthusiasts who bought 76011, she now has white couplings rods and her smokebox and buffers have been picked out in white too. 76011 had one driving wheel taken off earlier and i cut it in half (like 6023 King Edward II) and i have also given her a white outline around the wheels. The track has been sprayed and is now looking very good. Photos of everything tomorrow! :)

Hi Kenny, this sounds great.

I did something similar for my GCSE art project. (Great minds think alike and all that) But I think yours will be a lot more realistic than mine. ;)

Can't wait to see some pictures of it.

Stew.

Due to the weather, i havent been able to take the diarama outside to get good photos yet. Hopefully will be able to tonight as touch wood, it looks like it might be fine for the rest of the day (ive bound to have cursed it now!)
Also, keep an eye out for photos of new locos on my layout thread!
