Hi everyone just thought i would introduce my effort into this hobby . I started this in November of last year having not had a train set for over 30 years ooooppppsss , suddenly fancied something new to do and got bitten by the bug . Im totally new to this so i am learning all the time , The layout is purely fictional allowing me to run trains of all era's .Origionally this was just going to be a train set to run constant then i decided to have a go at adding some models and landscape so its now developing . I am using DCC control and all the models are coming from the scalescene's range as i have forund them excellent.

So i will start with a couple of pictures of the room and idea of layout

nice and simple MDF with a simple but sturdy framework beneath





I have been lurking around the site since i started and found some great inspiration on here but only just found the time to start my topic

I made my self some signals using the idea from the site , i just wanted something that told me which direction i had the points so they work a treat for my layout

The station lit up in the dark is very realistic.

All you need now is a loud Class 37 running a late night freight train through it

Kevuk3 may be new to railway modelling ...
But looking at those shelves around the room he's a long time modeller of just about everything else !!
Looking very nice and well lit, I do like good night scenes.

Thanks for the comments guys , true not new to modelling but very new to railway modelling and learning as i go along the way . Also picking up lots of idea's and tips along the way from this site and forums.
Never been much of a scratch builder , but im learning and kit bashing the scalescenes kits is very helpful. I must say i love these kits each time you build one they get better and better.
Anyway after the station i found the Pub scalescene one i mean , and found it fits a corner just nice.

Sorry for the ignorance but had to look up what a class 37 is , as i said i am new to railways sorry but i am planning on adding something like that to my layout.

My rolling stock so far is

BR (Late) 'Owen Glendour', Britannia Class
Virgin Trains Pendolino
BR 0-6-0T Class J83
BR 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter Class 08

the last 2 from the hornby mixed freight set






as i said at the start there is no set era or even theme to my layout , just want to run the trains i like
