Hi Mark,
I had a look at the Exeter photo. Its just goes to show the variablity of building design & non standardisation in many cases. So also giving plenty of artistic license for the modeller :D :D

The concorse looks to be a superb addition to station. Both blending nicely with the canopies & also giving a sense of evolution of the station.
Regards,
Steve

Thanks very much Steve :D

Well guys, i'm sorry about the lack of updates recently, such a lot been happening :| I really havn't done much to the layout. But the other day, i got on with populating the platforms. The next Job after this will be to fit the new 'Shawbury' nameboards, the signage & information screens & clocks, then the dummy signals. I'm still yet to get the phone boxes in the right colour.
Here's some pictures took this morning in natural light....

Hi Mark,

good to see an update on Shawbury again. Great work on the station. The canopy and concourse look great and the people really make the station come to life. Very good Photos, especially like the one with the approaching HST.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Guys,

well I've thankfully become motivated again & I have almost got the station finished i'm glad to say :D . I have now added all the signage, Platform numbers & the information screens. The only thing I need to do now is detail the phone boxes & add some posters & timetables when I finally get some coloured ink for my printer.

Thanks Jas :D

most of it is pretty much there now regarding the station, Just the phone boxes to detail & also add posters & timetables when i get coloured ink for my printer.
I then need to focus on the lower board & sort out the river.

Great little attension to detail and the colours blend in so well and goes to show how clean a railway looks without having to get dirty.

Thanks Mat :)

I'll be honest, sometimes i've lost interest in the layout, but luckily have felt motivated again to get this far. I am thinking of a slight adjustment with the platforms in shortening Platforms 2 & 3, this I will be able to create better buildings between Platforms 1 & 2 such as a buffet, red star office & staff accomodation & toilets. This will make Platforms 2 & 3 in effect bay platforms, but at the moment since i've completed the station, the small building i currently have on Platforms 3 & 4 looks really cramped & unrealistic.
Looking forward to seeing further updates on Ollerton :P

Excellent set of photos on the latest collection. It's hard to tell this is a layout, let alone N gauge! Great attention to detail.
