Hood-dale Main - V3 is imminent!!!
Re: Hood-dale Main - My first attempt at a layout!
Hi... The fencing is modellers mesh (1-2mm mesh) cut 1 inch high with painted matchstick posts... Looks great I think. (3m x 1m sheet of mesh 19 quid, will make 120 lengths of 1metre)

Re: Hood-dale Main - My first attempt at a layout!
Been out with the weathering stick yet again, think this is becoming an addiction!!!
Some of the wagons in my breakdown train stock.

The coaches need to match the loco!

Re: Hood-dale Main - My first attempt at a layout!
Been busy today. Cleared the baseboard off as much as I can and hoovered all the ballast off. Need to put dropper wires everywhere now seeing as I've gone digital, the current wiring configuration just doesn't cut it anymore....
Looks bare doesn't it???

Re: Hood-dale Main - My first attempt at a layout!
Not much has happened latley, still stuck under the base boards with a soldering iron! Inbetween burning myself regularly though I have also been buying a few bits and pieces from some of the fine members on here, therefore the old weathering stick has reared its head once again.
Purchased a rake of various departmental wagons the other day all in excellent pristine condition (thanks Pete) and just had to make them muckier! You will still see the pva wet in this shot as I literally just made the load 5 minutes ago...

Looks good behind my 'dutch' 37 though I reckon!

Well, I've not been up to much at all lately. Been way too busy with everything else to get in the loft at all.. But it hasn't stopped me welcoming a new arrival to the Hood-dale depot.
One Heljan class 47, bought for a good price on ebay! Runs perfect...

She's a beauty eh?
