Hi all... Not really done much this past few days, have started making the new diesel depot building as I dont really like the plastic peco kit thats there now. Using the scalescenes download I've had for a while.
Just mainly been playing trains seeing as I've now gone digital. Lights on, lights off and on and off,on, off, on, off, ok bored now! lol Lovin the extra control though!
Have taken a couple of vids through my phone and popped them on youtube so here they are...

The two petroleum 37's on oil train duties:

And the mail train, regional 37. (All 10ft 1in of it!)

Hope you like these...

Also in the sales section I had a horrible little triang yellow wagon I was trying to offload to no avail. So what would any modeller worth their salt do? Modify it of course. Here is the transformation.

Like the videos. That mail train is long! Great work on the wagon too. That would look good in an overgrown siding.

Well today Hood-dale Main had its grand opening of the new diesel shed and guess what, the graffitti artists have been at it already!! :P

Image

Also knocked up a little friend for the coal wagon I just modded. This bolster wagon is the chassis from a TTA fuel tanker I used the tank from and the bed is made from thick card, painted and scribed. The support pins are just offcuts of 1.5mm steel wire. The steel pipe is simply plastic tube painted up! Looks ok I think..... :D

Been making more of the Scalescenes Containers. Think they look ok. Hard to tell they card at all from a bit of a distance. Pretty good from close up to. What do you reckon?

Nothing major here, just a couple of little tweaks. 1st up is the new yard tower light I got from CR models at the York show last weekend. £17.50 and looks great. Well bright too, the following shot is with the loft lights off.

And next, just a little item I also picked up at the show which I think is needed to keep the hungry truckers around Hood-dale happy!

On with more buildings at the monet so they will follow as and when they are completed.... :D

So much space, so much stock! And so much effort. None of which I have. I think that the LONG trains are just grand. The whole thing is very nice. Thanks for the photos and movies.

Thanks for that Whynot...

My little engineering company is now secure from the criminals that wander Hood-dale at night time! It has finally invested in the supply of security fencing complete with barbed wire top! (That was awkward to glue on the posts :? ) Obviously this pic was taken before the barbed wire was fitted. That is to follow shortly.... :)

Also I've started the first part of what is to be a rather large factory warehouse complex which will end up being about 3ft long and over a foot high! Just thought I'd share the 1st stage and see what anyone may think... :D Incase anyone doesn't recognise the design its from one of the Scalescenes kits, which I just love!

Hi fikasfook
I will have a steak burger with the lot large chips and a flat white thanks.
looks like the tea van could do with the extra business :D.
I do wonder why you replaced the loco shed as I would have thought the detail on the
original would have been better.
Other than that an excellent effort
Hope they catch the little #######'s with the spray cans and make them clean up the
mess (Hmm thinks?? that might make a nice little mini scene).
regards John

Hey Buz, your orders ready!!! Don't let it get cold.. :P
To be honest with the diesel shed the interior is much better with the new one, has more potential as I change it which will be beginning soon. The peco kit was just too boring for me lol.
Can't have the graffitti artists caught just yet, they've got lots more to desecrate before they're done with! :D
But thanks for the comments, nice to know its getting worldwide acclaim hahaha!

Just a couple more random pics for you all to looksy at... :D

Been out with the weathering wand lately again, still not got the cajoles to try on the locos but working up to it!!! So instead applied a bit to a wagon I was kindly donated by 'cosxr2i' (cheers bud)...
Image

And did this a few weeks ago but completely forgot about it, took a TTA tank bit of Das clay and hey presto, something like a oil storage tank for the depot! Just needs the base painting which I may just do a bit later on today now I've remembered about it lol... :P
