Loving the building work so far! Very good solid looking tunnel and retaining wall. Those flats really look the business as does the station building. Nice and grimy just as it should be!

PS did you try and ring me this evening?

Looking good - in particular I love the oppressiveness of those flats (in the 2nd and 3rd to-last pictures).

Neat job on the office block too :)

Cheers for that chaps...
Southernboy, I have to agree, they do have a bit of an air of dominance about them, just like the real things...
Chris, you know I like stuff to be grimy.. :D I never rung you, the phone did lol. Leant a book on it and it somehow unlocked and dialled a couple of numbers from my contacts... Sorry! :?
Guy, cheers pal.. Waiting patiently to see yours come to life to... :D
Scott, no tricks pal, just a load of mucky thinners and the desperate need to cover up glue marks where I nearly stuck the building to my fingers haha...
Graham, sat drinking Guinness!!! What do you take me for??? On that note we need to get together for a pint before long I reckon....

Well it was a shame to see your old setup go, but I agree with the others there is some cracking building work going on there and those tower blocks really do feel like the real thing  !

Hi there... Cheers for your kind words chaps.. Unfortunately I've not been feeling myself just lately and have had issues with my patience and concentration levels so have to keep myself occupied away from the layout. Have suffered quite badly with depression in the past and just found myself slipping a bit of late but hopefully I have addressed it in time and am getting myself back on the right track..
So with some luck I should get back on with it shortly and have some pictures to show all you patient people who keep coming back....
All the best.

Hi... Felt quite chipper today so spent a bit of time up in the loft today and decided to do a bit of work...
First off though I have had delivered a couple of seacows in dutch from pedro32 of this fine establishment and I have to admit they are well smart.. First time I've seen them up close and the detailing is fabulous... Cheers pal!

After running them behind my locos up and down for a while I got busy. I started by putting up the curved backboards again out of 3mm hardboard (courtesy of work, gratis) then test fitted a Gaugemaster backscene on it. Gonna have to get some more of them!
Also muckied up the turntable making it look a bit better than the original colour. Just need to paint the rail and the main rail bed. Then decided to start the hardstanding areas between the spurs off it. Looking good so far.

Next I will fill between the tracks and start working further up the depot area with it. Oh and if you're wondering what it is is just air drying clay (das in this case). As per my last version I get quite a good finish from the stuff...
And for today people that is that, but at least I had a good day!
Jas.... :D
