Hi Gents, thanks for the comments and kind words. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy for a moment. Oh wait a moment, that might have been the codeine phosphate hehe.... :D
Cheers though seriously.. Always nice to know some people genuinely wish you well, and most on here seem a decent bunch..
I'll be on the mend soon I hope and back to it with a vengeance...

Yes that's the codiene. I had it when I pulled my shoulder a couple of years ago. Good stuff it is too!

Just a few pictures I haven't used before just to pass the time until i get back in the loft to do something...!

First couple are of the main scenic lenght of the layout, one in daylight and one in lit evening time. Both show around 16ft of the total 18 length from opposite ends..

And this one is of the town cutting looking very damp and dank with the headlights and green ground signal lens lighting it up....

Hope you likey... :D

Welcome to Hood-dale Main, please ensure all luggage is removed as you alight..

And my old weathered tool vans that rarely see daylight. Suprised these haven't appeared before now to be honest!

Awesome pictures!!! Also, it's surprising to see how long it is with the first set of pictures. Didn't realise it was so long

Keep up the good work when you get back to the loft that is

Thanks
Dan

Very nice, I just picked up my first Class 37 and am well pleased with it !!! It is the 37/5 in Railfreight. Just got to figure out the cab lighting though. Want to get a 37 in Intercity next and wouldn't mind one in Regional livery either. UH OH I see a pattern here :D :D Nah I still love my 47s :P :P

Cheers fellas.. Looking forward to getting back up there. The list of to does is getting longer and longer hehe.
Dan, I often wonder if I bit off more than I can chew with the overall size but I am glad that I did, I would get bored with a small layout, I like being able to move around and work on whatever bit I fancy. Can always chop and change bits without any real impact on the overall then.. Oh and there is 10ft down the left hand side for the lower town area plus I will be extending the upper town when the church corner is complete so that will be another 10ft x 3ft scenic purely as a town so all buildings there!
Plans are also afoof for a spectacular photo oppurtunity part to appear this year! Not saying what as I want it to be a suprise and complete before I post anything!!! :D
And Stuart, shiny?? lol not heard that before for an exclamation of appreciation... ! But the use of the word 'reet' redeems all.. Proper Northern word there lad... :P
Tut tut tut Britfarmer... They'll take over your life, don't say I haven't warned you... Just need them all sound fitted now, can you imagine that lovely rumbling tractor sounds... Mmmm bliss hehe :D

Thought I better pop something up on here seeing as I'm slowly sliding down the page... :?
Anyway, Hood-dale has now got its first proper passenger service in the form of a Bachmann class 150/1 in reggie colours... So heres some pics.. :D

And here's a little video of it arriving at the platform....

Now at least the residents can go somewhere instead of watching endless freight fly through the town...

Somehow missed the night photos of the layout. It is long blimey! Love the shot of the 37s - my fave loco as well! The lights certainly add a lot of moody atmosphere to the layout. The 150 looks right at home there on the blocks.
