I have had to build this for the kids to entertain them.
I have finished the track painting, and made 1/2 of the "raised track" for the depot.

Almost finished the shed pit, I need to straighten a few legs and paint them grey, add some strips instead of the sleepers and its done.
Image
I have built a control panel, needs wiring up .

I spent this afternoon with my eldest daughter (6) in the shed, I did a few jobs and asked her to put ballast nice and neat as required.
Think I wil need to tidy it up a little before adding the PVA mix.
I also now have a Bachmann Dynasis controler at the ready.

Trackwork is all now ballasted, weathered and cleaned.
I brought an airbrush and have spent a bit of time getting used to it then did the track, mainly matt black in the 4 foot to recreate the oil and diesel spills in the platform bays and depot roads.
I got the controller up and running tonight and powered up the layout for the first time, 2 roads have shorts when the points are thrown and the loco goes over the points in 1 direction?
I have never used a digital controller before and the loco (150 sprinter) has a flywheel which is also new to me! I had a few runaway moments!
I will try to get a few pictures up soon.

Slight break in posting updates, concrete is now laid and I have started on the platforms.
I have started to buy a few items of stock and also an airbrush, the pics above show my first ever attempt at weathering.
