Never too late to join in - after all the Olympics are still 7 months away! I'll add you to the list.

Ok, I ran out of time due to illness over Christmas but can't keep hanging on to the trucks any longer! Here is what I produced for the wagons to sit on:

They will be off to Manchester next week!

Thanks, always amazes me how different things look in real life vs photograph. The poorly finished backdrop doesn't look like that in real life for a start! Did enjoy building that though - amazing the enjoyment from a bit of ply, some foam board and plaster can provide!

right then, I'm assuming the package I picked up yesterday is these wagons, if it's not, I have a surprise sat on the seat in my car lol.
Due to numerous things my layout hasn't left the ground yet, in fact it's not even started taxiiing, I suppose in reality it exploded in the hangar.. :-(
SO... I have decided to build a small diorama, and I have decided to do it in a way that I can do on my knee, whilst wee man is kicking off next to me lol..
Whoo, new job... big pay cut... but new job! yay

A mystery indeed!

The three wagons arrived her behind a grubby 66111
Image

Here they are seen in the station area waiting to be added into the train sitting to their left. One of the few loco hauled Passenger trains in the country has just arrived at the station and a pair of 150s wait to head out.
Image

Finally shunted into their new train, they wait for their departure time. The 150s are underway behind them and a 60 shuts wagons in what will be the freight unloading area.

And off they go....

Well that 66 is grubby - they could've made an effort to clean it up a bit before putting it on such an important working  . Great modern image layout developing there and a pleasant surprise to see the wagons there!
